C4 launches Broadcast Journalism bursary
Aimed at those with knowledge of Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Afro-Caribbean communitieses.
Channel 4 has launched a new training bursary worth £15k for applicants to the City University TV and Current Affairs Journalism Postgraduate Diploma course, in London. C4's commitment to diversity is well known. A statement with today's announcement says "The stories behind today's nation need to be told, which is why we think Britain's journalists should better reflect Britain's multi-cultural society. So we're encouraging people with knowledge of the Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Afro-Caribbean communities to apply to join City University's Postgraduate Diploma Course in TV and Current Affairs Journalism." The bursary's to be used to assist with course and living expenses and practical work experience is also on offer.
