BJTC Associate members are the accredited training providers - the colleges, universities and commercial companies.
There are now nearly 30 institutions, more than 30 courses and about 700 students graduating each year - and a healthy list of more applying for accreditation.
The trend in the next couple of years is likely to add a series of different levels of provision - Foundation Degrees, part-time, in-house, single module to name a few - to the present full-time courses - for example the Reuters Academy and the NUJ Professional Training Committee and more commercial providers.
The broadcasting landscape has changed out of all recognition and continues to change. All BJTC accredited courses have introduced training in online, multi-platform output and continue to adapt their courses to the changing needs of UK broadcasting employers.
You can find a full list of accredited courses under BJTC Courses.
The training delivered by accredited courses is directly relevant and responsive to operational demands of the broadcasting industry.
All our associate members meet regularly to discuss developments and issues and six of the tutors are elected by their colleagues to sit formally as directors on the BJTC Management Committee.
This ensures a proper consultative process is part of the decision and policy making structure of the BJTC.
